My heart is just being reminded to remember that God is in control and that i should not worry about whatever happens tomorrow or in the future, for the future is not guaranteed at all. I am reminded of the great sermon by Jesus in Matthew, i.e. the sermon on the mount where he tells us to not worry about what happens in life, but most importantly is to seek his face.
"But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own" (Matthew 6:33-34)
Even though i want to be in a relationship, and particularly with this girl i like, seeing how much of an idol or functional saviour she has become to me, it is really amazing that God has sorta just taken it away from me straight after i finished my exam. I don't know the reason, but i certainly feel a chain just fall off my shoulders. I think God is reminding me to live for what is ultimately worthy. Although marriage and a relationship is very much a gift from God, in the end, if my heart is not right with God, then no matter how good that gift is in the end, it will just lead me to destruction.
God thank you for being patient with me, despite my constant rebellion, you love me not because of anything i did or will do, but because of your son Jesus Christ. God help me seek for righteousness and holiness with the same vigour that i would have pursued selfishness and my own desires. May your will be done that i would be like your beautiful son Jesus Christ. Amen!!

Personal Devotion - Hebrews 1
Key Verses
"The Son is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven."
"Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever, and righteousness will be the scepter of your kingdom"
"But you remain the same, and your years will never end"
"Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation"
What does this tell me about Jesus, God the Father and the Holy Spirit???
- God speaks through His son Jesus Christ because he is the radiance of God's glory and exact representation of his being
- Jesus has provided purification for our sins and now sins at the right hand of Majesty in heaven (it is finished)
- Jesus is more powerful than any angel and all the angels collectively.
- God is eternal
- God is and loves righteousness
What does this tell me about me??
- That this word is ultimately not about me, my salvation or my being holy, but in fact it is about God and God alone - His glory being shown through all things. That my worship should be towards Jesus Christ solely and not to idols.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, make my heart new, change it like you would that it would become more and more like your son Jesus Christ. Lord God remind me that my life that i am living is not about me and my glory, but it is about Your Glory and Your glory alone. Change my heart Lord, because it is not just wicked and selfish right now, I don't know why my heart is sooo confused but thank you that at the same time you take from me my idols that so easily entangle my heart, please please remind me that my life is not about me, but its about YOU Jesus Christ!!!
